New xxxHOLiC: Rō OAD to Ship in Spring 2011

The Japanese publisher Kodansha shipped a DVD as a mail-away present to readers this week, and the DVD included the opening animation for a new original animation DVD (OAD) of xxxHOLiC: Rō, which will be offered for sale in Spring of 2011.

Kodansha bundled the first xxxHOLiC: Rō OAD with the 17th volume of CLAMP's original xxxHOLiC manga on April 23. Del Rey will publish the 16th manga volume in North America in October, while Funimation released several of the earlier xxxHOLiC anime adaptations.

Love Hina Manga Returns with 1-Shot Story in September

This year's 39th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine is announcing on Wednesday that Ken Akamatsu's Love Hina romantic comedy manga is returning with a one-shot manga story in the next issue on September 1. The memorial revival special will have six full-color pages and feature the characters Keitarō and Naru. The same 40th issue of the magazine will also run the 300th installment of Akamatsu's Negima! Magister Negi Magi manga and offer an exclusive Negima t-shirt.

Natsu no Arashi! Manga to End in September

The September issue of Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker magazine has announced on Saturday that Jin Kobayashi's Natsu no Arashi! science-fiction romance manga is ending in the next issue on September 22. This story from the creator of School Rumble centers on a boy named Hajime Yasaka who meets an older high school girl named Sayoko "Arashi" Arashiyama in an old town coffee shop. "Arashi" happens to have a secret that Hajime learns one fateful summer vacation.

The manga launched in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Wing in 2006, and it moved to Gangan Joker after that magazine replaced both Gangan Wing and Shōnen Gangan Powered in 2009. The anime studio SHAFT adapted the story into a television series in 2009, and Crunchyroll simulcasted the anime outside Japan. A second television anime series titled Natsu no Arashi! Akinai-chū inspiredpremiered later that year.

Del Rey published the omnibus version of the 14, 15, and 16th volumes of Kobayashi's School Rumble manga last month. Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine indicated in February that Kobayashi is planning a new series in that magazine, but has not revealed its title or launch date.

30-sai no Hoken Taiiku Guide's Anime Adaptation Listed

Mantan Web, the Mainichi Shimbun paper's entertainment news website, posted an image of the free Mantan Broad newspaper special issue that it began distributing at Tokyo's Comic Market 78 event on Friday, and the image lists an anime adaptation of Mitsuba and Ichijinsha's 30-sai no Hoken Taiiku (Health and Physical Education for 30-Year-Olds) guidebook. The guide is aimed at men in their 30s who have not experienced romance or sex with women yet.

Ichijinsha published the book in November of 2008, and it has since released two sequel volumes.

Musashino-sen no Shimai gets film adaptation

According to FlexComix Web, a film adaptation of Yukiwo’s seinen manga series, ｢Mushashino-sen no Shimai｣, has been green-lit for production. Details will be announced at a later date.

｢Mushashino- sen no Shimai｣ was originally serialized in webcomic site Flex Comix Blood on December 14th, 2007. From there it ran on Flex Comix Next on June 10th, 2008.

*Synopsis:

The lolita-fashion wearing Midorikawa sisters, Ran and Pandora, are living a NEET carefree life in their luxury apartment in Saitama Prefecture. Then one day Pandora finds a job at a maid cafe in Akihabara. Ran becomes hostile from seeing her sister enjoy working outside while she continues her NEET lifestyle.

There's a new series that make me go crazy for; and i'd like to share this to everyone here this awesome show. Split (Hebrew: חֲצוּיָה‎, Hatsuya) is an Israeli supernatural drama series. It is directed by Shai Kapon and airs on the HOT VOD Young channel.

Plot summary:
The series is about a 15-year-old epal girl named Ella Rosen, who begins high school along with her best friend, Omer Teneh. Grin high school is managed by Amnon Grin, a cold and stone-hearted person, who is secretly the head of "The Order of Blood" - An order which was founded 1000 years ago, and its purpose is to clean the world from vampires.

During the series there are three major plot lines which are all connected:

First line of action - Reveals the story of Ella Rosen (who moves between all three lines), a confused, introverted teenage girl who is sure that there is no one who understands her. Ella is a split - half a vampire and half a human - and has a major part in a conflict between vampires and humans. A 600-years-old vampire (but with the appearance of a high school student) named Leo is sent after her, in intention to help her find out who and what she is, and what she is destined to do. A love triangle is created between Ella, Leo and Omer, Ella's best friend who is secretly in love with her.

Second line of action - Reveals the story of Zohar, Sushi (Moshe) and Guy (Ella's Brother), who represent the school's fencing team. Guy courts Zohar, daughter of the principal. Eventually she responds to his courtships and they become a couple. Together, they try to help Sushi to overcome his stage fright, which leads to a love triangle between the three. When Zohar's father loses his memory, she has to take after her father as the head of "The Order of Blood". Sushi stands by her, when Guy is bitten and becomes a vampire, which conflicts his relationship with Zohar.

Third line of action - Reveals the story of vampires. The vampires' Prophet (also known as "The Blood Chosen, provides blood replacement and has the authority to make the decision in arguments), a split named Ardak, realizes that his life are about to end and that he has to crown a successor. Phaton, his brother, is about to be crowned, but the coronation is interrupted because of Ardak's vision, which reveals another split. Ardak sends his guardian, Leo, to find her and tell her about her being a split. Phaton is pissed for not being crowned and he undermines Ardak by a secret mutiny and does severe actions such as incitement against the Prophet, releases prisoners for his own benefit and murdering "The Vampire Council" members (A council of vampires with the authority to judge and define laws, which has to obey the Blood Chosen's rules).

Kuroshitsuji II's 3rd DVD to Add New OVA

The third Black Butler II (Kuroshitsuji II) DVD volume will ship in Japan on November 24 with the fourth television episode and a new original video anime (OVA) called "Welcome to the Phantomhive Family." The new video episode will be modeled after romance simulation games such as Angelique or Fantastic Fortune; the story will unfold from the perspective of the audience as the unseen "O-jō-sama" (Milady). The viewer is invited to a ball being held by the Phantomhive family.

OneManga Says It Will Remove Manga Reading

As some of you who knows OneManga -a site hosting scanlations-, it just posted a notice that it will remove all the manga series in their website citing the recent change in manga publisher's stance on manga scanlations. Kyō, Koi o Hajimemasu 2nd Anime DVD Green-Lit

A second anime DVD for Kyō, Koi o Hajimemasu aka Today We Start Our Love has been greenlit for release this fall. The anime is an adaptation from Kanan Minami's Kyō, Koi o Hajimemasu shoujo romance manga. The new anime DVD will be bundled with limited special editions of the 10th manga volume, and it will have the same cast and production team at J.C. Staff (Nodame Cantabile, Honey and Clover) as the first anime DVD. More information about the new anime DVD's story will be announced in future issues of Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine.

The manga's story centers around Tsubaki Hibino, a girl who is indifferent to both romance and fashion, even though she loves giving other people adorable hairstyles. On the first day of high school, she happened to sit next to Kyōta, a mean-spirited boy who teases her. In retaliation, she spontaneously pulls out scissors and cuts off his long tresses of hair. Thus begins the long love-hate relationship between Tsubaki and Kyōta.
