Hourou Musuko

The story of Hourou Musuko (Wandering Son) centers around a feminine 5th-grade boy named Nitori Shuuichi. On the first day at his new school, he is mistaken for his 6th-grade sister. He happens to sit next to Takatsuki Yoshino, a girl who wishes she was a boy. Both of them have secrets they cannot tell anyone.

The story depicts a young boy named Shūichi Nitori who wants to be a girl, and his friend Yoshino Takatsuki, a girl who wants to be a boy. The series deals with issues such as transsexuality, gender identity, and the beginning of puberty.

Gender- identity themes are hardly new to anime. On the other hand, it's set to be a noitaminA series, running in January (alongside Yamakan's Fractale). The director is Ei Aoki (Ga Rei Zero, Kara no Kyoukai 1), and the script/composition is being handled by the popular Mari Okada (who's also doing series composition on Fractale!).

Ok guys,
I need help deciding how to protect my laptop. Condoms won't help out in this situation...
I wanna protect it form viruses and such and I'm using norton right now. I was wondering what other programs you guys would suggest to use. Norton keeps deleting files and accusing them of trojans, even though they're not, whenever I download something by torrent. It gets real annoying. McAfee seems promising but I know it can screw up sometimes. I'd appreciate it if you guys gave your input and help me reach a final decision.

This year's 40th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine is announcing next Monday that a television anime adaptation of Tomonori Inoue's Coppelion science-fiction military action manga has been green-lit. The story is set in 2036, after radioactive contamination from a nuclear accident has put Tokyo under a blockade. Three high school girls have been sent to this dead city. Thanks to genetic engineering, the three girls have been impervious to radioactivity since birth. They form a special forces unit, codenamed "Coppelion," in the 3rd Division of Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force.

The manga has been running in Weekly Young Magazine since 2008, and the eighth compiled book volume is shipping on Monday.

Beelzebub

Plot: "Strongest juvenile delinquent" Oga Tatsumi, in the most random events, finds himself with the infant son of the Great Demon King and threat to humankind, Beelzebub. After being "greeted" by the baby's maid and caretaker, Hilda, it become obvious that Beelzebub doesn't want to leave Oga's side. With his close friend Furuichi and a bunch of other characters on hand, Oga now must raise baby Beel and prevent the world from destruction.

Not only is it getting an OVA this seasons, but its announced that a TV series is showing on January next year!

An advertisement has revealed that a television anime adaptation of Ryūhei Tamura's Beelzebub manga will premiere next January. The advertisement lists the following cast members: Katsuyuki Konishi, Miyuki Sawashiro, Shizuka Itou, Aki Toyosaki, Tomokazu Seki, and Takahiro Mizushima.

There is already an Beelzebub event anime which will run during Shueisha's Jump Super Anime Tour 2010 this fall. The event anime is the first original anime project for the manga.

Though I wouldn't mind Sawashiro voicing Hilda, but I can make do with Ito. However, Sawashiro voicing Baby Beel. Its a "...wait what?" reaction.
With Konishi voicing Oga and Seki voicing Toujou, I seriously cannot wait until they fight. Going to contain manly screaming, like a mecha anime.

Baka to Test to Shōkanjū (OAV)

The October issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shonen Ace magazine is announcing on Thursday that production on a new original video anime (OVA) project of Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts has been green-lit. The OVA will be released before the second television anime season, which has been slated for next year.

The first Baka and Test — Summon the Beasts anime television season adapted Kenji Inoue's fantasy romantic comedy light novels, and it aired in Japan from January 6 to March 31. The story centers around Akihisa Yoshii, the "baka" of the title. His magical academy rigidly divides up the student body into classes based on the results of tests. The prodigies are in Class A with reclining seats complete with air conditioning, but Akihisa is in Class F, the lowest rung of the school ladder which is furnished only with low, decrepit tables and worn-out straw tatami mats. Akihisa decides to rally Class F to take on the higher-tiered classes and seize their perks. Class F uses its summoning powers in an all-out battle for school supremacy.

Funimati on licensed and simulcasted the first television season in North America.

Latest One Piece Chapter Discussion SPOILERS

Has anybody been reading the latest chapters for One Piece?
Apparently there will be a four week break starting from today.
The latest chapter that came out today, revealed that the crew, separated since their arrival on sabody archipelago, will reunite in 2 years instead of the 3 days they intended for. So now the crew are mastering their strengths related to their locations and luffy is learning how to use haki or known as mantra in skypeia, with Rayleigh, gol D. Roger's first mate.

If anyone follows the manga series, plz go ahead and contribute ur opinions

A Tokyo parcel of land, popularly known as "Totoro's home" due to its appearance in My Neighbor Totoro director Hayao Miyazaki's book Totoro no Sumi Ie ("The Homes that Totoro Lives In"), re-opened on July 25 as a park designed by Miyazaki himself.

In his book, Miyazaki said that the place was a "home that Totoro would have enjoyed living in dearly." On February 14, 2009, the house burned down in a fire. The Suginami Ward office had already planned to turn the property surrounding the house into a park, and after the fire Miyazaki offered to design a new park. Occupying 840 square meters (slightly over &frac1-2; square mile), the park features over a hundred varieties of plants and a restroom building made using components from the original house. According to Kyodo News, the building was modeled after Totoro's home.

Miyazaki is an avowed environmentalist, and was instrumental in stopping the development of the Fuchi no Mori forest that served as the inspiration for backdrops in My Neighbor Totoro. After the forest was purchased by the nearby city of Higashimurayama, Miyazaki and a group of supporters raised money to maintain the now-public land. The artists from the American computer animation studio Pixar and other studios held a charity to help preserve another forested area in the Sayama Hills that inspired Totoro.

The project is a spinoff from Circus's D.C. ~Da Capo~ franchise and features the Yoshino Sakura character as a seemingly ordinary third grader with secret special powers.

My only regret is: What have they done with my Sakura and utamaru??

Yosuga no Sora

Okukozome is a remote village far removed from the city. That is where Kasugano Haruka goes, taking Sora, his sister, with him. It is a place he had visited often in the past, the place where his grandfather had lived before passing away.

Now, the two siblings have lost their parents and a place to call home. Thus, they decide to move into their grandfather's empty house.

Deadman Wonderland

A retailers' solicitation sheet reports that an anime adaptation of Jinsei Kataoka and Kazuma Kondou's Deadman Wonderland manga has been green-lit. The story is set after the destruction of most of Tokyo by an earthquake and centers on Ganta Igarashi, a middle school student framed for the murder of his classmates. Igarashi is sentenced to Deadman Wonderland, a bizarre privatized prison that is one part incarceration and one part public spectacle for tourists.

The anime's official announcement will be made on a wraparound jacket band on the sixth compiled book volume when it ships on August 26. The manga has been running in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shonen Ace magazine since 2007. Tokyopop lists the manga for a February 2010 launch in North America. In addition to creating Deadman Wonderland, Kataoka and Kondou adapted the Eureka Seven anime series in another manga series which Bandai Entertainment published in North America.

Shinrei Tantei Yakumo, aka Psychic Detective Yakumo, tells a story about a college student, Saitou Yakumo who is born with different eye colors. His red left eye gives him a special ability to see ghosts and spirits. He believes ghosts and spirits are bound to earth because of a certain cause, and simply eliminating that cause will let those spirits rest in peace. Being asked for help by Ozawa Haruka, they begin the investigation together.

A fall anime for 2010

A website has revealed Goulart Knights, the first original animation project that Bandai Visual's music label subsidiary Lantis has ever produced since it was established a decade ago. The project was conceived by Takumi Miyajima (Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Abyss, Coded Soul -Uketsugareshi Idea-) and illustrated by sion. It features four voice actors in one music and entertainment unit: Yuuki Kaji (Nile), Atsushi Abe (Hokuto), Takuma Terashima (Ulbireo), and Kazuma Horie (Regulus).

The story begins after mysterious creatures named "Archons" suddenly appear in the world. Humanity faces the threat of annihilation from these creatures. Only the "Chalice," the source of humanity, can defeat the powerful Archons. So, the humans assemble an Archon-slaying unit from fighters who have the ability to bring forth the Chalice to fight. The ones chosen to fight the Archons with the Chalice as their weapon are called Goulart Knghts.

Although there is no anime release announced yet, cosplaying Lantis staffers will give away a free original drama CD, Goulart Kishidan: Homunculus Sōdō (Goulart Knights: Homunculus Strife), during Summer Comic Market 76. The event will take place at Tokyo Big Sight from August 14 to 16. The four voice actors will appear in person at Comic Market's Lantis booth on August 16. Lantis will then ship the Goulart Knights' debut mini-album on September 30. The August issue of Gakken's Animedia magazine already published a 16-page one-shot manga about the four Goulart Knights on Friday.
